We stayed at Stella Alpina on 5th June 2011 and although it was very quiet as it was not peak season it was brilliant. The food was amazing. We had the Osso Buco Risotto and it was by far the best risotto I have ever tried! Since ive been living with an Italian for the last nine years I have had a lot of risottos. Staff was great , stunning views and amazing country side which was explored on foot from the hotel. Loved it and can definitely recommend it.

The Relais hotel in Bedretto offers an extensive database of my previous stays, which has proven to be incredibly useful for my frequent travels. I was delighted to find that my room had a balcony overlooking the beautiful valley. The view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking, and it added an extra touch of tranquility to my stay. the room was equipped with a great shower and a very comfortable bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
One minor drawback I encountered during my stay at Relais was the inflexibility of the staff regarding breakfast times. As a skitouring enthusiast in a valley known for its skiing, I was disappointed to learn that breakfast was only served from 8:00am onwards.

The area where hotel is located is beautiful with a great view of the mountains and plenty of opportunities for walks/hikes. The hotel is older but very well-kept and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and always happy to help.

A bit expensive for what it is. In my opinion the fare should be half of what I paid.

The staff was welcoming, smiling and speaking many languages. The food was tasty. The room was clean and comfortable. The free Wi-fi connexion was working well. The hotel is quite and a good landing point before or after the gottardo tunnel for ex.
The hotel looks a bit old from the outside but is fine inside.
